London
London is one of the most popular metropolises in the world with an interesting history (there is more than one website on the web dealing with the historic background of this fabulous city) and a promising future.
London's best
Whoever goes on a trip to England's capital city, what should especially be done when still young so one can experience the famous “London night life” (so one should mind the deadline, one day one will be to old to be granted access to the best and hottest clubs), should visit all the famous sights (every single one ha an own homepage!) like Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, The Tower of London, Big Ben, etc. It's also nice to take some time to have a walk in some of the many parks and go shopping for there are many great shopping-areas like Carnaby Street, Covent Garden or Oxforstreet and of course numerous farmer's markets and jumble sales.
Permanent Expositions
Of course there are also many museums and expositions in London. Everybody knows “Madame Tussauds” for example (whoever does not know what is meant should have a look on the officielle website) but there are also historic museums as “The Britain at War Experience“ and „The Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms“, sports museums as the “Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum” and the Twickenham World Rugby Museum” and some unique and diverse museums too, such as the “Cartoon Museum“, “London Transport Museum“, “London Motor Museum” and “Pollock's Toy Museum”, to name a few.
Limited Expositions and cultural offers
While visiting London one should always be aware of the cultural program of the season. There are several different festivals, expositions etc. depending on the season and on the request. Whoever plans to visit a certain limited exposition or a certain festival should be aware of the event's deadline (information can often be found on the internet by using the keywords “ deadline official website “ (→ name of the site) with google).
